A little bit about me!

Hi! I’m David Vandenberg. I am an active citizen in the beautiful City of Burlington. I am also a student at McMaster University where I am currently studying Political Science.

On top of school, I am engaged throughout our community in civic affairs, not for profits, charities and much more! I hope you can learn a little about me on my website, and that we can connect in the future.

As of 2016 I am the Social Media Manager and Route Coordinator for the CIBC Run For The Cure Burlington/Hamilton/Oakville

Starting in 2016, I am a committee member of Rick Goldrings Millennial Advisory Committee. We analyze local issues such as affordable housing and sustainability from a millennial perspective

Canadian Blood Services is an organization I am proud to be affiliated with. After a family emergency, I realized the importance of donating blood. I have been an active blood donor for three years

Canada 150 Sesquicentennial Citizenship Award

One of 50 citizens in Burlington, Ontario who was recognized by the Government of Canada for their contributions to make Burlington, Ontario and Canada a better place and as an outstanding citizen.

One of 150 Youth, Men and Women awarded the Burlington 150 award on behalf of the Ontario Government. This award celebrates community builders during the 150th anniversary celebrations

I met David earlier this year at an event for HIEC where he was the Emcee, he was fantastic. He was engaging, professional, and inspired me more than I did him. Since then David and I have become friends and the more I learn about him the more I am amazed. When I was creating the television show for youth, David was a major inspiration for the theme of the show. He has been a guest and co-host on the show and I still remain amazed at the ambition of this young man.
