Canadian Blood Services is a large organization that manages the blood system in Canada. I became a blood donor when I was 17 years old. I decided to start donating blood as a good friend of mine Laura Hillier was diagnosed with Leukemia and I wanted to try and make a difference. As well in October of 2014, my dad suffered an Aortic Dissection and required 17 pints of blood. This is something that means a lot to me and if you want to donate please visit your local blood clinic today!
Canadian patients depend on them to manage a safe, secure and cost-effective blood system. CBS bring quality to every aspect of their work – from collecting, testing and manufacturing blood, blood components and stem cells to knowledge creation and dissemination to conducting ground-breaking research.
